A calmer look across the assessment library

More than a hundred instruments moved onto the same modern layout patients already saw on our newer assessments: one clear cover, short sections, and no page that runs on.

Highlights

  • -A cover page that says what this is, how long it takes, and that answers save as you go
  • -Long instruments split into short sections at points that make clinical sense
  • -The same wayfinding header and progress on every assessment
  • -Nothing about the questions themselves changed

Our newer assessments have had a calm cover page, short sections and a steady progress header for a while. More than a hundred older instruments now use the same layout, so a patient sent two different measures gets one experience rather than two. Where an instrument was split into sections, the split points were chosen per instrument rather than by a rule, because a break in the wrong place changes how a question reads. The items themselves are untouched and remain exactly as published.
